Urban Jungle - Summer '17 - Phil & Lui

URBAN JUNGLE

2017 Summer Campaign

tropical-pineapple-2

As a synonym for modern life with all its demands and also benefits.

Lonesome places, endless spaces much too often stuffed with masses of people or sad looking metropolitan architecture.

The daily routine of getting up, going to work, continuously working things off on the way back home, in the end spending least of the time with a free mind open to random thoughts.

Somehow we can’t get rid of the thought that modern life with all its ambitions and busyness is consuming us up to an extent that it gets us disconnected from our emotions and therefore from ourselves.

Is there anybody to be blamed for at all? Or should we rather start questioning ourselves?

Travel gives us the opportunity to lean back and explore ourselves, to get in touch with and address the questions we keep at distance in day to day life. And we like to put distance between ourselves and what we know.

Taking off to remote places, letting nature’s rhythm cool you down, giving you space to unfold in a stream of thoughts and emotions.

The imagination of a jungle automatically makes our mind drift off, starting to wonder what a real jungle might be like, big dramatic landscapes in lonely corners of the globe. Travel as a temporary escape.

With all the sky-high concrete and metropolitan hastiness going on around us today plants seem just right.

Plants are extremely patient companions. All they insist on is a steady yet very modest care. They just want to be checked every once in a while.

If given to them they truly enrich our lives with a constant growth and the remarkable beauty of nature. Just like the wonder we are ourselves.

Cities and citizens creating their own jungle-like and close-to-nature refuges as a modern interpretation of bringing together the haste of 21st century life and urban wildlife nature.

So in the end it’s not only a question of taking off and travelling to tropical places but more a matter of finding nearby spots enabling a decent self-exploration and inner relief.

Get up, go out, keep your eyes open, free your mind and find your urban comfort zone.
