OUR PRODUCTION

Discover the beauty and sustainability of cashmere from Mongolia!

Our wonderfully soft cashmere is obtained from the nomads of the Mongolian steppe and produced in a small family business. We attach great importance to fair and sustainable production, in which both animals and people are respected.

Our cashmere goats live in the wild and are lovingly cared for by the nomads. The goats are carefully combed only once a year to obtain the precious undercoat.

WHY CASHMERE?

The advantages of cashmere are unrivalled. The most precious wool in the world is characterised by unique fibre properties.

In addition to the indescribably soft feeling on the skin, cashmere insulates three times better than normal wool and thus ensures optimal thermal insulation despite the ultra-fine fibers and keeps you cozy and warm even on cold winter days. But this also works the other way round and the fine air chambers in the fibers also prevent external heat from penetrating, which leads to a cooling effect in summer.

Cashmere is also hygroscopic , which means it can absorb and wick away moisture to keep you feeling dry and comfortable.

Cashmere also has a natural self-cleaning ability because the fine, smooth fibers absorb less dirt and odors due to their structure.

RARITY AND QUALITY

WHY DOES CASHMERE COST MORE?

These fiber properties contribute greatly to the fact that the fine wool bears the title of the most precious wool in the world .

However, cashmere production is limited. Only between 150-200 grams can be obtained per goat per year by carefully combing them out. One of our cashmere items usually weighs between 400-900 grams. It is therefore no wonder that pure cashmere costs about 15 times more than normal wool on the world market .

This rarity and quality make products made from pure cashmere something very special.
